Description of the Celestial Eye Goldfish

The Celestial Eye Goldfish was originally bred in China and is also known as 'Choten Gan'. The Chinese named the fish "Ch'aot'ienyen" which translates to "The Dragon that looks to the Sky". The English translation "celestial" means "seen in the sky". The position of the celestial's eyes help with feeding as it can catch prey directly above it. This variety of fancy goldfish is not recommended for the beginner as they are not very hardy.
